FAQs
Where should we have our picnic?
Our default location is Library Park in Lake Geneva, but we will pop up in parks, on piers, in back yards, living rooms, front porches, etc. in any surrounding lake town. (Williams Bay, Fontana, Walworth, Linn, Lake Geneva) If you are interested in another location, please send us a message!
What happens if it rains?
If weather conditions aren’t suitable for an outdoor picnic, Lake Geneva Picnic Co. will work with you to find the best alternative. Options may include moving your picnic to a covered or indoor backup location of your choice, rescheduling within the same week (subject to availability), or receiving a credit for a future date to be used within 6 months.
Dessert and balloon add-ons are non-refundable, as they are custom ordered; however, arrangements can be made for pickup if a credit is issued.
While we’re happy to assist in suggesting indoor backup locations (subject to availability and any venue fees), securing an indoor location is the client’s responsibility.
What food is included?
Each guest receives an individual 6" × 6" artisan grazing box from Fork It Foods. At booking, you’ll choose between a Traditional or Brunch-Style box. Menu items vary seasonally.
Traditional Grazing Box:
Crackers, cured meats, artisan cheeses, Fork It’s signature apricot habanero jam with fresh chèvre, plus berries, olives, vegetables, nuts, and seasonal fruit.
Brunch-Style Grazing Box:
A bagel with cream cheese and signature jam, dried fruit, a hard-boiled egg, breakfast meat, cheeses, fresh fruit, and a yogurt parfait.
We can also provide additional catering options—please reach out for details. Dietary restrictions and allergies can be accommodated, so be sure to note any at booking.
Can we bring our own food and drink?
Yes, you are more than welcome to bring your own additional food and beverage! Please note, alcohol is not permitted in public parks. We do not offer picnic packages without charcuterie at this time.
What is your cancelation policy?
A 50% non-refundable deposit is required at booking to reserve your picnic date. The remaining balance is due 7 days prior to your scheduled picnic.
Because our picnics are custom experiences and include perishable items, the following applies:
- Cancellations made more than 14 days prior will receive a 100% credit for any amount paid, valid for 6 months.
- Cancellations made 7–14 days prior will forfeit the deposit, with any additional payments issued as a credit valid for 6 months.
- Cancellations made within 7 days of the picnic date are non-refundable, and no credit will be issued.
All credits are non-transferable and must be used within 6 months.
